Robin Chandra Das

My name is Robin Chandra Das. I have opened some fixed deposit account under Kasundia Co-op Bank, Howrah with my whole life’s saving money. Suddenly the bank has been closed and the transaction totally stopped. Now I need this money for treatment of my wife. The bank totally ignoring me to withdraw any kind of amount they say that they have no money to provide me. Please help me to get the money that I have fixed, otherwise suicide is the only one way that I can see now.

I C Naik

It is unfortunate but it is also necessary to consult a financial person before giving life time saving to one Institution Cooperatives are the last amongst them. Pray and wait.

I did not understand why people put their money in co-operative banks when most of them are ruled by politicians. In Maharashtra the situation is too worst. Thanks to Mr. Prithviraj Chavan, when he was CM he put an administrator on the apex co-op bank of Maharashtra. This co-operative bank which was in debt before is now running in profit.

This always happen to those banks which are in co-operative sector or run by government due to political interference. And not to private sector banks like HDFC, ICICI, Axis, etc. since they are controlled/ governed by good directors and not by dirty politicians.
