In our society Treasurers was not depositing the Monthly maintenance from 2003 to 2009 and making bogus receipts in his own name without depositing the maintenance in Society’s bank Account.
Also maintenance paid by other members was also not deposited in the bank a/c of society and it was deposited in personal bank account of the treasurer or kept in his home.
Treasurer has not used the cheque book and shown all expenses made by the cash. But there are not even single bill other than electricity and water bill received from govt.
Asst / Deputy / Joint Registrar / Registrar have not registered FIR against the Managing Committee there is no action even after several complaints during past 6 years.
The Administrator appointed by the registrar have done nothing in past 12 months .. only Taken away Rs.27800 from the bank a/c of the Society in past 12 months since appointment.
Please advice me what can be done now.

CHS ISSUES DO not get apt attention of the State machinery. HOUSING SOCIETIES are covered by the Consumer Protection Act 1986 as they are also held as Service Providers to its members. Maintaining correct accounts and getting them audited before placing in the AGM is an important service to members and any deficiency there in is liable to be examined by the Consumer Court and is found deficient the society will be ordered to remove the deficiency. while making a complaint include a prayer that Court may order office bearers responsible for such deficiency are punished.
