I just wanted to ask a simple question. What is the procedure for issuing a duplicate share certificate in a building. I have the original certificate, but it is laminated and as such I am finding it difficult to make a transfer entry. The secretary to sign the certificate but he is taking too much time. I just wanted to know the procedure.

The transfer is to be approved prior to your asking for duplicate certificate. So you file an application for transfer along with laminated share certificate. Application for membership by transferee has to be disposed off within two months. So Let Secretary take his own time which should not exceed 2 months.
