We are a group of individuals who wish to purchase a tract of land and form a sustainable eco village in the Konkan, Maharashtra. We wish to jointly purchase this land under a association or Co-operative so that the land is not in any one person’s name.
We plan to grow a food forest and enough fruits and vegetables for our sustenance. We understand that a Forest Conservation Co-operative would be most suitable for the kind of project that we have in mind.
However, we are unable to find any precedent to this kind of co-operative body registration. We would appreciate any advise that you can give us to facilitate the formation of our Co-operative.
