I am the committee member of a 115 member’s society. The strength of the managing committee is 9 members and our term shall be expiring on August 2015. We six members are willing to resign due to the rigid ways of working of the Hon secretary, Chairman and one of the committee member.
We are interested in calling early elections and want a new young team to take care of the society. What is the best way to execute the resignation and call for early elections? Should we six move a no confidence motion against the secretary and chairman? We are not keen to have an administrative on board. Kindly advise at the earliest.

Six out of nine members can certainly get No Confidence motion passed against both the office bearers in a meeting to be presided over by the representative of the Registrar. But that will mean 2 out of the 6 will have to fill the two positions but the two will not be out of the managing committee.
If all 6 resign these casual vacancies can be filled by members of the choice of the remaining three-this may not serve your purpose. Best course is to critically analyse all proposals in the committee put up by Chairman and Secretary and oppose any wrong move and do not approve as you are in majority. I am sure the strength of 6 of you and well intended opposition will change things for better.
