I have a shop in a Co-operative Housing Society at Fatimanagar,Pune-13.
We the shop keepers are not provided the following services by the Society:
1) No Water
2)No cleaning in front of our shops
3) No provision to collect the garbage from our shops
4) There were originally 2 common Toilets provided by the Builder, the Society management has removed one Toilet, while the remaining one is in deputed condition, and they are saying they are going to close this also, where should the shopkeepers go for natural call, specially ladies working.
5) Notice for AGM is not delivered to the shopkeepers
6) Minutes of the meeting is also not circulated to the shopkeepers
7) Letters written are not answered
8) The maintenance charges are more to the shopkeepers than the flat owners
9) We shop keepers have stopped paying maintenance, for which they are to charge interest.
Please guide us as what we shopkeepers should do.
They have charged us for Water ,when there is no water connection can we get the amount refunded with interest.

Three suggestions.
- Pat up maintenance demand in full without wasting any more time. Law does not accept any excuse for non-payment of maintenance.
- Put up a Claim for water charges wrongly charged as per your reckoning.
- File a petition in District Consumer Court for deficiency in Services 1-8
Make it a Joint action of all shopkeepers. Address of the Forum is as under.
