Management Committee of every housing society has a duty to apportion all society charges on every flat as the basis provided in the Bye-Laws registered with the Department of Cooperative Societies in which it is registered. Member has a right to get a certified true copy of this Bye Laws at a cost of making copy. Get this copy from the Society Office / Secretary and refer to it. You will immediately understand the basis. It is possible that your Society’s Committee does not follow the basis accurately  and in that case you can raise it in the General Meeting and if you are not satisfied then raise a dispute before Cooperative Court.
