We have approved associate membership of few in 2012 based on filling up request form and paying rs. 100/-
We have endorsed this on share certificate also. Such approved members are not joint holder of flat.
Now as per new provision can society strike off their name from category of Associate members by simply issuing a letter duly resolved by managing committee and then record on the share certificate accordingly.
Thereafter not to allow them even for AGM.

ONCE a person is admitted to membership of the Society, cessation thereof is governed by registered bye laws of the concerned Society. So you need to find out if the Committee can terminate membership and if yes under what situations? Now there is no information as to which Model bye-laws was registered by your housing society as is its bye-laws. If it is governed by 2014 Model there are full chances of confusion in arriving at a correct answer. “Which New Provision” led you to have this doubt? In order to help you find the answer please let me know which is this Provision? lt is difficult to guess. More so the answer is no but no convincing logic can be given unless the concerned new provision is examined.
