I am the owner of a flat in Pune. The management of apartment buildings ( 2 ) and common spaces is done by association formed under MAOA for last 8-9 years.
My husband and me participated in association activities, and realized that at some places the expenses are too much and we wanted to optimize the costs. For same, when we asked the documents and past data on bills, the behavior of management committee got changed and they refused all documents to us on pretext of one or other reason .
Finally the reason given by them is under MOFA or MAOA, they are liable to share only audit report and no other documents are supposed to be shared, even we cannot see it .
The sharing of documents is no where mentioned / documented in their bye-laws.
My question is like MCS 1960 Section 32 , is there no provision in MOFA/MAOA to ask for details of expenses / tenders / vouchers .
The situation today is, that when we started questioning, the harassment and social avoidance is taking place for my family, including my children .

No such provision exists in THE MAHARASHTRA APARTMENT OWNERSHIP ACT, 1970. The Declaration i.e. the instrument by which the property is submitted to” the provisions of this Act, has Bye laws of the Association of Apartment, Every member has a copy. If these bye-laws provide for such provision as Section 32 of MCS Act, you will have to look up.
Otherwise one course of action is file a complaint of deficiency of service in consumer Court against the Association,
