I stay in Goa and my society IS purely maintenance society which follows bye laws as per Goa cooperative societies act 2001 and rules 2003.
I just like to know the following:
- One of resident members has been installed solar panels in their roof top and generating power and planned to sell the excess power to corporate via net metering. Is the resident has to approach society for NOC? Has it treated as commercial activity?
- In our society most of the resident members are NRIs. Is that possible for E-voting facility during election of Board members? Pl advice the relevant section / legal provisions/ rules under society act.
I C Naik
For Solar ask the member of the Society’s Secretary as we have no means to know? Make a proposal to the Secretary to amend the bye laws to provide for eVoting.
Sir, I have invested in adarsh credit cooperative Society at jodhpur (having main office in Ahmedabad). Now they are not giving money by saying that cash is not coming from head office
