1)We are 15 fifteen members living in the new Akanksha co-operative society ltd, Dahisar West Mumbai, Maharashtra. Majority of the people require security (Watchmen) to be kept in the society premises for the security service purposes.
Least members which are 2-3 in numbers they don’t require security or the security services due to these are unaffordable to them.
I am one of the member for whom the security services are unaffordable and not required.
Kindly suggest on the same.
2) Nowadays installation of the fire extinguishers cylinders to be kept on the each floor of the society is made compulsory by the Govt-(BMC) for New Akanksha CHS Ltd and also mostly for all other society that I came to know.
Is it compulsory for fire extinguishers need to be installed for Co-operative housing society which has 4 floors and total 15 members allocated for the whole premises?
Kindly advice on the same.

In cooperative society providing common amenities and services which includes security, lifts, cleaning, maintenance of common assets, staircases, terrace etc is the responsibility of the managing committee within the annual budget approved by a majority of members present in a duly convened general body meeting.
In this scenario whether an individual member wants amy service is a misconceived thought. These services are the “wants” of a CHS as a whole and not “divisible” A majority can decide to have it in the Society as a whole. If one thinks what security service one is getting he might think he is not getting any. But what about security to common assets which belong to the society as a whole.
Fire Protection Rules are made by BMC and these are to be complied with.
