We live in a society of 188 flats in Pune where there are mix of open and covered parking. We have a open plot at the back of society where 23 members are allotted open parking by builder. We are living here since almost 4 years now, due to construction work going on in neighborhood and also due to heavy rains aswell as heat our cars are getting damaged.
Out of 23 members 20 members have come together to construct a parking shed (temporary structure with pole and corrugated sheets) so that we can get protect our cars from getting further damaged. We have submitted a request letter to society along with members signature along with structure drawings. Society is not allowing us to go ahead with this proposal and asking us to give a letter from a lawyer that what we are doing is legal then we will give permission. Can you please advice on what we should do in this case.

Any construction on land requires prior approval of the Civic Authorities and any modification thereto is not allowed, except rain water shed for a fixed duration in rainy season. So better drop this idea.
