I am from Maharashtra, Navi Mumbai. I am conducting private tutions from last 6 years..for std 1st – 8th. This year our one society member is complaining about the parents coming n going ..at the same he has also a vadapaav business for which he prepares the menu from.house uses  water from society for his business purpose…also another lady is doing stitching business……is the rule same or different for everyone that not to do commercial activities in society limits.

As there is our Agm on 21 feb 2016…plz guide what point should I raise in the meeting. Waiting for ur reply….kindly requesting.

I C Naik

The “User” of residential premises for carrying out profit making activities is not contemplated because that creates inequality among the members who are equal. Subject to Civic Authorities right to regulate use of buildings the General Body of Members can decide the matter if not opposed to under bye-laws. This is a tricky subject and I had answered a question from Premprakash on 15 May 2015 which you can go through at https://www.indiancooperative.com/cooperative-queries/objection-on-tuition-class-in-a-chs/
