I am from Nandanvan cooperative housing society Ltd, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.
We are a CHS full of row houses the only services rendered and billed by society is security rest all is paid individually and directly.
Now society being old has a very good corpus of over a crore of rupees but management has discontinued and not providing security services for over a year now. With robberies and chain snatching becoming very common we fear for the security of our own selves and our loved ones, especially kids and senior citizens.
How can we make the management compulsorily install security services and also make them legally liable for not providing essential services?
Please refer to my request submitted to them.
Will appreciate your kind guidance

This is a case of deficiency in service by your CHS being a service provider and your District Consumer Forum is the most appropriate authority to hear your Grievances under Section 12 of Consumer Protection Act 1986. The Court can direct the Committee to attend to your grievance expeditiously. 3-4 months is normally the time frame, it could be faster. It is very economical. Prepare your Grievance Statement Pay Court fee of Rs 100 and go to the Court personally deposit and argue when called. No expense.
