The flat is in the joint name of Mr. A & Mrs. B.
Mr. A, the member of our society, died without making nomination.
We advised Mrs. B to submit the forms for transfer of flats along with necessary documents. But she claims that the flat is automatically transferred in her name, after the death of her husband Mr. A.
Please guide, whether she is right ?
We tried to search the answer on your website but most of the queries returned the answers about Associate membership. Hence, we clarify that no application for associate membership was received from Mr. A.

She is wrong. Concerned bye laws are 57/58. See extracts:
57.The person shall cease to be the member of the society:
(i) xxxx.
(ii) xxxx
(iii) On his death
58.The person shall cease to be the associate member of the society, when the original member ceases to be the member of the society…
She has to satisfy the committee that she is the sole inheritor of the flat and claim membership.
