Can Society charge full rate on Maintenance when Society withdraws services / facilities from the member? How to calculate the compensation for the items like DG power , Lifts , Intercom services facilities , Cable TV etc etc which are built with capital share of the member . Can society withdraw the facilities originating from them , if do so will it be a case of forceful , intentional attempt to restrict member’ s right to his Society ‘ s property .

Housing Societies provide services to members from funds collected at rates which are arrived as per rules laid down in the respective bye laws of every society. It is suggested that get hold of a copy of your registered bye laws and find out if they are properly applied.If not draw attention of the Secretary and if not satisfied, write to the Registrar.
