Our Housing Society has 46 members and in February the present committee has resigned and no other member comes forward to form a new managing committee. Please let us know the law in such a situation. Has the general body meeting power to select a new committee without election? Or recommending registrar to appoint an administrator is the only option?

BYE LAW 132(e) lays own the Procedure for such situations:
In case the entire Committee intends to resign, the resignations of the committee shall be placed before the general body and such resignations shall be effective from the date of acceptance by the general body. The committee shall continue in office till alternate arrangement is made for the management of the Society.
