I am from Thane, Maharashtra and have elected as a managing committee member in my CHS through election process held in June 2015.
At the time of election I defaulted my society maintenance dues but no recovery notice was served to me under bye-laws no. 119(ii).
Now some committee members asked me to resign from Managing committee as I defaulted the payment at the time contesting of election. Election has conducted at the supervision of SCEA
Are they legally right to ask for my resignation when no recovery notice is served to me under bye-laws no. 119(ii)?
I cleared outstanding dues at a later date.

There is no need to resign. The Committee can not force you to resign. You can ask the Committee to seek advice of SCEA in the matter giving full facts to be fair to everyone.
