I would like to know what rights of Joint member? and does he have right to attend annual General Body meeting in absence of Primary Member under Goa Co-operative housing act 2001 & rules 2003.

A joint member a cooperative society registered in Goa has a right to attend the general body meeting in the absence of the first member. Section 23 of the Goa Cooperative Societies Act further provides that upon death of the first named member the Joint member steps in his shoes. Nominee if any can apply yo become a joint member. One restriction is a member can appoint only one joint member.
