Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh inaugurated the 10 day Tendupatta Bonus Tihar in three Naxalism affected districts of the state organized recently by Primary Forest Produce Co-operative Committees and disbursed bonus amounting to Rs 23 crore to 39,589 Tendupatta collectors, reports The Pioneer.
Official sources claim, the programme is likely to benefit around 11 lakh Tendupatta collectors in the State.
Tendupatta collectors who received bonus from the chief minister on the occasion are members of about 18 District Forest Produce Co-operative Unions.
The festival is being held from December 2 to 11 December.
