I am member of Chitrkute CHS Dombivili (E). I gave a letter to society with proper format and consent for admitting my son-in-law as associate member six month ago. Again a reminder was given 15 days ago but they did not reply to my letter.
What options have I got in this case? Or is there is any provision in bye laws ( Maharashtra cooperative housing society ) for initiating action in case of no reply by the MC?

If you have a copy of your request to admit son-in-law as Associate conforming to bye Laws then as per following bye law he is deemed to be a member:
The Secretary of the society shall communicate the decisions of the Committee or the General Body, as the case may be, to the applicants concerned within 15 days of the decisions of the Committee or the General Body, as the case may be, with reasons, where the applicants are rejected by the Committee or the General Body, as the case may be. If the society does not communicate the decision to the applicant within three months from the date of receipt of applications for membership, including nominal or associate membership, the applicant shall be deemed to have been admitted as a member as provided under Section 22(2) of the Act.
So file an application for list of members under Bye Law Number 171(7) paying fees as prescribed therein.’
If you do not find name of your son-in- law as Associate member you can file a complaint to Registrar for not keeping accurate list of members.
MC of co-op. housing society behave like mafia. They feel that they are sole owners of the property and doing a favor on members by undertaking society administration.
