Zoroastrian Co-op Bank MD elected to IBA Managing Committee

Zoroastrian Cooperative Bank Managing Director Daljit Dogra has been elected unopposed as the member of the Managing Committee of India Banks’ Association (IBA) representing Cooperative Banks.

The elections were held for a few seats of the Managing Committee of IBA during the 76th Annual General Meeting held on Thursday at Mumbai, in which MV Rao, MD, Central Bank of India replaced AK Goel of Punjab National Bank at the top position of IBA.

It is gathered that Nagpur Nagarik Sahakari Bank CEO Sanjay Potnis also filed his nomination papers for becoming a member of the Managing Committee of IBA but he withdrew his papers and gave a path to Dogra.

Dogra, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, has rich experience in the cooperative banking sector. He previously worked at Axis Bank as an SVP & Circle Head.

He has been a part of the Zoroastrian Cooperative Bank for more than four years and played a key role in supporting the growth trajectory of the Bank.

The Bank has registered significant progress under his able leadership.

The IBA- the apex body of all banks in the country was set up in 1946 to work proactively for the growth of a healthy, professional and forward-looking banking body.

The IBA represents 237 banking companies in the country. Forty UCBs are ordinary and 26 are associate members for the cooperative banking sector.
