NCDC has not received any proposal under the Yuva Sahakar Scheme from any cooperative society in Tamil Nadu, said Shah while giving reply to the question raised by the Lok Sabha member S. Ramalingam.
“National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), a statutory organization under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India is implementing the “Yuva Sahakar- Cooperative Enterprise Support and Innovation Scheme” in all the States/UTs across the country”, Shah added.
Yuva Sahakar’-Cooperative Enterprise Support and Innovation Scheme was launched by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar in 2019.
The scheme has been formulated by National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) in line with the Government’s focus on programs such as Start-up India and Stand-up India which is aimed at young entrepreneurs with new and innovative ideas.
The Scheme has an annual outlay of 100 crores and is aimed at cooperatives in North Eastern Region, cooperatives registered and operating in Aspirational Districts as identified by NITI Aayog, cooperatives with 100% SC/ST/ women/Persons with Disability members.
