On the occasion of Jadi Buti Diwas Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev felicitated IFFCO’s Marketing Head Yogendra Kumar for IFFCO doing excellent work in the field of neem-plantation.
Sharing the details of the felicitation, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi also revealed that IFFCO has planted over 50 Lakh neem trees across India and distributed 40,000 trees to Patanjali.
In recent times IFFCO has intensified its neem plantation campaign and is increasingly involving students and politicos. In a bid to promote the Neem Plantation drive the Odisha school children launched the road show and planted tress under the banner of IFFCO.
In West Bengal IFFCO involved women SHGs, students, farmers in school, coop societies, college campuses for the purpose. “Grow more trees to protect mother nature & soil”, Awasthi writes on his twitter wall every now and then to encourage the campaign.
IFFCO’s arm Indian Farm Forestry Development Cooperative (IFFDC) is already been active encouraging tree plantation to improve the living conditions of rural poor through sustainable Natural Resource Management by collective action.
