Yeshasvini Co-op Farmers Health Care Scheme

Karnataka government has decided to enroll over 1,80,0000 people below the poverty line in cooperative societies close to their homes to ensure they get the benefits of the Yeshasvini Cooperative Farmers Health Care Scheme, The Hindu reports.

The Chief minister Siddaramaiah speaking after inaugurating public works worth Rs.200 crore at Biligere village in Nanjangud. He said over 30 lakh farmers would be given interest-free loan of Rs. 3 lakh this year.

He added the government had waived loans totalling Rs. 1,350 crore availed by the people belonging to the SC, ST and minority communities.

Chief Minister criticised the Centre for cutting down grants to the State.
