Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa said the state govt would provide the cooperative sector with financial assistance of Rs 39,300 crore under various schemes for both agriculture and non-agriculture, reports Deccan Herald.
The chief minister was speaking at a function held at the Vidhana Soudha. Yeddyurappa said nearly 1,549 cooperative societies will benefit in the state.
Using the special liquidity facility, the chief minister said Rs 1,700 crore will be released to District Central Cooperative Banks for agricultural loans to farmers affected by Covid-19.
