Crores of rupees are not being spent on construction and repair of cooperative societies of Hamirpur district in Uttar Pradesh due to a flawed DPR (Detailed Project Report). The DPR had been prepared four years back.
ICDP (Integrated Cooperative Development Program) General Manager of Cooperative Society, Pramod Agarwal said on Tuesday, “In 2016 a DPR of over Rs 6 crore was made for repair and construction of godowns of cooperatives. But it was informed that the cooperatives which need warehouses are not included in the DPR.
“But in view of the matter, it has been decided to start the work in about ten cooperative societies and work will soon start to construct the warehouses. The General Manager said if the DPR had not been made wrong, the work on construction of several cooperatives will have already started “, Pramod added.
