Women delegate seeks representation to Kribhco Board

On the occasion of its 42nd Annual General Meeting held in the NCUI headquarters in Delhi on Thursday, Kribhco Chairman asked delegates to express themselves freely on the issue of the cooperative.

“There are people in the audience who may not have got a big cooperative position but have huge experience of the cooperative movement. I exhort them to come to the dais and guide us”, said Chandra Pal.

When the turn of delegates to express themselves came, Ram Kalevar Singh from Bihar thanked the Kribhco board and team of MD for an excellent performance. He also demanded that a branch of Kribhco Gramin Vikas Trust be opened in Bihar, which has none so far. Biscomaun Chairman looked on curiously while Ram Kalevar Singh was speaking. In the later part of his speech, he requested a study tour for the delegates.

One of the women delegates felt that the kribhco board is bereft of any women representation and the Board must ensure that women are made part of it.

Bhawani Singh Dewara from Rajasthan exhorted Kribhco management for the supply of mustard seed. He also said that chemical fertilizers must be made available to people on demand.

Raghuvir Singh from Punjab also spoke on the occasion. Later, Kribhco Chairman said those who do not wish to speak may give their suggestion in writing. “That will be included in the list for further action”, he added.
