Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh says his government will work hard to raise the turnover of agriculture-based businesses to Rs 87,000 crore by 2022, reports Outlook.
Raman Singh asserted that his government will take all necessary measures to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aim to double the income of farmers.
Farmers will get around Rs 1890 minimum support price + Rs 300 bonus for selling per quintal of paddy through Co-Operative societies, the chief minister said.
The chief minister was quoted saying as many as 96 tehsils in Chhatisgarh had been declared drought-affected.
