What will happen to appointments in MP’s DCCBs?

Towards the end of its rule, Kamal Nath govt in Madhya Pradesh went appointing its men in DCCBs, leading to protests from BJP leaders.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Kailash Soni expressed his deep concern over a flurry of appointment of Congress leaders in DCCBs of Madhya Pradesh in Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

Raising the issue he said, one of the recommendations of the Vaidyanathan committee was about not appointing political leaders in cooperatives and cooperative banks. The recommendation is being honored more in the breach than in the observance in MP.

He further said this move will weaken cooperatives in the state.

It bear recall that State Congress Secretary Umrao Singh Gurjar and Congress leaders Mahendra Sharma have been appointed as the administrators of Mandsaur Zilla Sahakari Bank and Guna District Cooperative Bank respectively.

Gurjar and Sharma both have already taken charge of the banks.
