According to media reports, Warangal District Cooperative Central Bank chairman Marneni Ravinder Rao along with Nabard DDML Chandrasekhar reviewed the progress of conversion of 50 Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) to Multi-service centres (MSC) at a cost of Rs. 54.53 crore as part of the diversification of business in the integrated Warangal district.
As part of the PACS to MSCs, they had taken up construction of warehouses, agri-outlets, coal storages, customer hiring centres, farmer training centres, consumer petrol and diesel filling stations, rice mills, storage cum office buildings comprising a total of 129 projects.
Urging bank officials to expedite things, chairman Rao called for immediate conversion of the remaining 20 PACS into MSCs as part of the diversification of business activities.
