Voting process for co-ops resumes in Maharashtra

Elections for Maharashtra’s cooperative societies, including banks and housing units, were postponed as over 100 cooperative department employees were deployed for Lok Sabha elections.

With the election code relaxed, the voting process for around 39,000 cooperatives resumes on June 10. Out of 93,342 eligible societies, 50,238 have completed elections, 10,783 are ongoing, and 20,130 remain.

Revised election schedules for classes ‘A’ and ‘B’ are being prepared, while class ‘C’ and ‘D’ follow specific guidelines.
