Veteran cooperator Haribhau, appointed Rajasthan governor

The veteran cooperator from Maharashtra- Haribhau Bagade has been appointed as the Rajasthan governor.

A cooperator turned politician- Bagade has remained in several positions in cooperatives. He was the General Secretary of Sahakar Bharati as well as on the board of Aurangabad District Central Cooperative Bank.

Bagade, who hails from Sambhajinagar (formerly known as Aurangabad), has played a key role in founding the Deogiri Nagari Sahakari Bank- one of the best and largest UCBs of the Marathwada Region.

He was also the Chairman of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje Sakhar Udyog. Bagade has also been an active shareholder of Janata Sahakari Bank, Pune for three decades.

Haribhau Kisanrao Bagade was born on 17 August 1945 and was the Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2014. He is the sitting MLA Phulambri constituency for 5 terms.
