Ashok Verma has been re-elected as the Chairman of Uttarakhand State Fisheries Cooperative Union, in a recently concluded election. And Ambika Singh has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of the said Union.
Soon after his name was announced, his supporters rushed to greet Verma, who was overloaded with garlands. He thanked one and all for their support.
Talking to the media, Verma pledged to strengthen the fishery sector of the state and vowed to introduce new schemes in the interest of fishermen.
On the occasion, Uttarakhand District Central Cooperative Bank Chairman Pradeep Chaudhary, former Chairman Surendra Singh, and others were present.
