Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Minister Mukut Bihari Verma has instructed the district cooperative banks to provide short term loans to the farmers so that they can do their work easily.
On Tuesday, the Minister reviewed the short-term loan disbursement by the Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Banks to District Central Cooperative Banks.
During the meeting, Principal Secretary Cooperation MVS Ramireddy, Commissioner and Registrar SVS Rangarao and the MD of UPCB were present.
Verma said this time cooperative banks should work keeping in mind the interests of farmers and they should not face any problem in getting loans from the banks. During the review, the minister asked district co-op banks to prepare a list of self-help groups formed by DCCBs.
The minister further added that UP State Co-op Bank should open branches in those districts where there are no DCCBs.
