Verma in Srinagar; lauds idea of Co-op School in each district

Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Development B.L. Verma held a detailed review of the functioning of Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Department in Srinagar on Thursday.

Under the new dispensation, the country is experiencing the revival of the Cooperative movement to alleviate the problems faced by the poor and marginalized section of the society, said Verma on the occasion.

In his speech the two things that got maximum focus were setting up more and more co-ops and registration of PACS in the state. He was interacting with officers of the co-op department in the state.

The idea of one Cooperative School in each district was also lauded by the minister. He wanted such schools to be high tech.
