Opening recently a four day state level agriculture machineries fair in Patna , Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi said the Bihar government would set up a body patterned on milk cooperative federation to develop processing and sale of green vegetables in the state.
Primary green vegetables cooperative societies had been registered for the purpose across 83 blocks in five districts he added, reports UNI.
The deputy chief minister underlined the point that the move would help farmers get proper price for their produce. Shushil Modi also announced that vegetable cooperative organizations would soon be set up in other districts of the state as well.
