Vamnicom recently conducted a 3 day Regional Level Training Program on Gender Budgeting and Inclusive Growth, informs a press release.
The program was inaugurated by Dr A.N Tripathi, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Pune).
Those present included Dr Vibhuti Patel, Professor, Advanced Centre for Women Studies, TISS, Mumbai, Dr K.K Tripathy, Director VAMNICOM and Dr Manisha Paliwal, HoC Gender Studies.
A total of 67 participants from 5 regional states neighbouring Maharashtra participated in the program.Topics like conceptual framework of Gender Budgeting, Role of Gender Budgeting in Rural Development and Inclusive Growth etc were covered.
A visit to Manndeshi Foundation in Satara District of Maharashtra was also organized to see the gender specific interventions in livelihood and micro entrepreneurship.
Valedictory Address was delivered by Smt Lata Sonawane, Gender Budgeting Expert, and Dr Manisha Paliwal.
