In a written reply, Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that between 2019-20 and 2023-24 (till November 2023), 16,647 participants from the cooperative sector have been trained through 444 training programs and 11,337 participants from State/UT Governments, etc. have been trained through 193 training programs conducted by Pune based Vamnicom.
“VAMNICOM has been awarding Post Graduate Diploma in Agri-Business Management since 1995. It also conducts Diploma in Cooperative Business Management (DCBM) and Diploma in Management of Computer Operations (DMCO) for middle-level managers serving in cooperatives and Cooperative Departments of States/UTs”, Shah informed.
He further added, ‘VAMNICOM has a research centre, namely, Centre for Research and Publication (CRP) which undertakes various research projects that serve as background material for policy advocacy, training and teaching. Besides, it undertakes consultancy services for various sectors of cooperatives”.
VAMNICOM established in 1967 is actively engaged in education, training, capacity building, research and consultancy in the cooperative sector and is meeting the requirements of national and state level cooperatives, Central Ministries/Departments, Cooperative Departments of States/UTs, etc.
