A group of 13 farmers from Uttarakhand have been sent to Himachal Pradesh on a five-day study tour on Thursday to study horticulture. Their van from Dehradun, Uttarakhand to Himachal Pradesh was flagged off in the presence of senior officials of the cooperative department.
Talking to Indian Cooperative, Uttarakhand Cooperative Department Joint Registrar MP Tripathi said, “The 13 farmers of the Uttarakhand have been sent for a study tour at Himachal Pradesh and will visit various institutions including Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan and others. One farmer has been shortlisted from each district of Uttarakhand ” he said.
Besides, another group of farmers have been sent to Gujarat for a study tour at Anand on 28th October 2023, where they will learn about the working of milk cooperative unions.
