Chairmen of District Central Cooperative Banks of Uttarakhand who were seeking to contest the Assembly polls from BJP but are disappointed with the party denying them tickets.
Almora DCCB Chairman Lalit Singh Latwal, Tehri DCCB Chairman Subhash Ramola, Chamoli DCCB Chairman Subhash Ramola and others were eying tickets for contesting the polls.
Talking to Indian Cooperative Latwal said, “We are not happy with the party’s decision. From the Almora constituency, the party has given a ticket to Kaliash Singh who fought the assembly elections against the BJP in 2012. But still the top leaders of the party have reposed faith in him”.
He said ‘ I have been associated with RSS for more than 30 years and fought Students Union elections. Being a chairman of Almora DCCB, we have done a lot of work for the empowerment of women and farmers in the hilly areas”.
The Dehradun District Cooperative Bank Chairman Amit Shah was also eyeing the BJP assembly ticket from Doiwala because the former Chief Minister of the state Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed his unwillingness to contest the assembly polls. But all his efforts were to no avail because the Party has given ticket to UCF former Chairman Brij Bhushan Gairola from the said constituency.
