Uttar Pradesh had the maximum number of sales of IFFCO Nano Urea bottles (500ml) between August 2021-March 2022, April 2022-March 2023 and April 2023-18th July 2023, Kerala had the lowest sale of Nano Urea bottles in the same period.
According to the data shared by the Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Bhagwant Khuba while replying to a query raised by Rajya Sabha MP. “The total sale of Nano Urea in August 2021-March 2022 was 2,12,13,246 whereas between April 2022-March 2023 and April 2023-18th July 2023, it was 3,25,35,256 and 33,24,640 respectively. The total number of sales in the said year is 5,70,73,142.
The highest number of IFFCO Nano Urea bottles sold in Uttar Pradesh i.e. 1,08,56,124. Bihar and Maharashtra & Goa come in second and third position respectively.
Khuba further added, “Nano Urea (liquid) when sprayed on the leaves easily enters through stomata and other openings and fulfils nitrogen requirement of crops. Because of its unique size and higher surface area to volume ratio, it effectively addresses crop nutrient requirements which results in reduced nutritional stress, better growth, and yield attributes of crops”.
“Price of Nano Urea (liquid) is Rs 225 / 500 ml bottle. It is 16 % less than the price of a 45 Kg bag of conventional Urea. The use of Nano Urea is being promoted through different activities such as awareness camps, webinars, nukkad nataks, field demonstrations, Kisaan Sammelans and films in regional languages etc”, his reply added.
