The employees of Uttar Pradesh Sahkari Gram Vikas Bank have protested outside the bank headquarters in Lucknow regarding their transfers.
Talking to Indian Cooperative, UP Sahkari Gram Vikas Bank MD Shashi Rajan Rao said, “The transfer was done based on state government policy, and we have asked for options from the female bank staffers. A total of 436 employees, who have been in their positions for a long time, have been transferred. We are trying to resolve the matter,” he said.
It is gathered that from the head office of the bank, 75 employees are transferred, out of which around 31 are women. The transferred employees alleged that it was done without any transfer policy.
Their demand is that the transfers made by the Managing Director should be cancelled or they should be given an option for transfer.
Some of the protesting employees said that they were all working in the head office and now they have been transferred to areas about 400 to 600 kilometres away. In such a situation, the children and the elderly at home will not be able to be taken care of, they complained.
