The Uttar Pradesh government has signed an MoU with Bharat Petroleum for opening petrol pumps on the land of cooperative societies. The decision has been taken to improve the deteriorating conditions of PACCs societies of Uttar Pradesh, read media reports.
The government will take the land of those PACs on lease where there is a possibility to open a petrol pump. In this regard, five societies of the Bulandshahr district have been shortlisted.
It is being said that Bharat Petroleum will pay three rupees per liter of sales to the society. There are 147 societies in the district.
