The United Nation’s 66th edition of the Commission Status of Women for the second time will be held in Chennai with the only parallel event on women and cooperatives virtually in Asia. WWF and ICNW, Chennai will organize the event, informs a press release issued by the organizations.
The workshop is being held today on 21st March 2022. The parallel event is entitled “COVID – Heroines Women micro-entrepreneurs warriors combat COVID 19 – Working Women’s Forum/Indian Cooperative Network for Women” Chennai.
It is a matter of immense honor for WWF that it is the only Cooperative Network globally to win this recognition in the Cooperative sector, claims a release from the co-op body.
Dr Nandini Azad, President Working Women’s Forum (India) – Indian Cooperative Network for Women (WWF-ICNW) will deliver the opening remarks and speak on the theme of the workshop.
Leading participants in the workshop will include Madam Wenyan Yang, Chief, Global Dialogue for Development Branch, United Nations Division for Inclusive Social Development, Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), International Raiffeisen Union (IRU) Andreas Kappes, Secretary-General, Hirofumi Kobayashi, Executive Director Institute for the Development of Agricultural Cooperation in Asia (IDACA), Yamakoshi, Head of International Relation Department, among others.
