Hindu reports Kerala government has awarded the roadwork to Uralungal labor contract to repair the damaged road running parallel to Shanghumugum beach near Tiruvanthpuram.
Kerala authorities will consult with Navy and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) before throwing a protective layer to the upcoming 240-m diaphragm wall.
The new sea-facing layer will ensure the protection of the Rs 4.29 crore RCC diaphragm wall.
