Rajasthan Principal Cooperation Secretary and Registrar of Cooperatives Mrs. Manju Rajpal informed that in the first and second phases of computerization of PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies) in the state, out of 6,781 identified PACS, 4,000 have completed the Data Capturing Tool (DCT) process, and 1,950 PACS have gone live.
She explained that the completion of the audit is the primary requirement for the DCT, as it allows all financial data and records to be uploaded into the software. Once the DCT process is complete, societies will be able to carry out their daily operations through the software.
She further stated that once the computerization process of PACS is fully implemented, it will increase transparency in all societies, and services such as banking and e-Mitra will be available at the village level.
The Registrar also mentioned that more than 23,000 societies in the state are undergoing audits, and over 14,500 audits have already been completed. For those societies that failed to appoint an auditor by the deadline of May 30, auditors have been appointed at the department level, and all societies have been instructed to complete their audits promptly.
