The secretary and writer of the Thindal primary agricultural cooperative society near Karimangalam in Tamil Nadu were suspended by the sub-registrar of the society for misappropriation of funds, reports Hindu.
The allegations were that funds meant for jewel loans and the building reconstruction works amounting to Rs. 15 lakh had been swindled.
Those keeping tabs on the cooperative scene in Tamil Nadu say there has of late been a raft of such scams in the cooperative sector in the state.
