Cooperative banks in Tamil Nadu would give small traders and business men especially those doing business on pavement soft loans of Rs 50,000. The only condition is that they should have ration cards, reports New Indian Express.
The minister said cooperative banks have been disbursing loans to women self-help groups at negligible interest rates.
Cooperation Minister Sellur K Raju made this announcement while speaking in a function in Madurai. Raju also savaged the opposition leader Stalin for levelling baseless charges against the chief minister.
