Tamil Nadu chief minister Paliniswamy has announced the deferment of co-operative loans repayment by three months in view of the COVID-19 lockdown, reports Hindu.
The move is supposed to benefit middle- and low-income groups, farmers and entrepreneurs.
The chief minister announced a three-month extension of the deadline (until June 30) for the repayment of loans taken from co-operative banks, fishermen’s cooperative societies and handloom weavers’ cooperative societies.
The deadline has been extended for the payment of dues to cooperative housing societies as well.
